In modern electronic industry, tin bar has been widely used. What are the important components of tin bar?
In addition to the main elements tin, lead, copper and silver, tin bars often contain a small amount of other elements, such as nickel, antimony, bismuth, in and rare earth. These trace alloy elements in the lead-free tin strip have a great influence on the physical and mechanical properties of the strip: bismuth can reduce the melting temperature of the strip, improve the wettability and spread, but the excessive amount of bismuth will reduce the fatigue life and plasticity of the solder joint, and the appropriate amount of bismuth is about 0.2-1.5%. Nickel (Ni) can improve the mechanical properties and fatigue life of solder joints by changing the microstructure and refining the grains. Among the systematically designed chemical components, it is obvious that we hope that the performance of tin bar in all aspects can reach an optimal balance, such as welding performance, melting temperature, strength, plasticity and fatigue life.
In general, if the content of lead (PB) in the tin strip is within 100 ppm, it is made of raw materials. If the content of lead (PB) exceeds 100 ppm, it is mostly caused by mixed tin or recycled tin
